How Typing Speed and Accuracy Are Measured

Typing Master calculates your WPM (words per minute) by dividing the number of correct characters you typed by five (since one word is considered five characters), and then adjusting it according to your total time.
For example, if you typed 250 correct characters in one minute, your WPM would be 50. Accuracy is calculated by comparing how many of your typed characters matched the original text. So, if you typed 95 out of 100 characters correctly, your accuracy would be 95%.

This simple but effective method gives you a clear picture of your actual typing performance every time you practice.

How to Improve Typing Speed with Typing Nation

Improving your typing speed takes consistency more than anything else. Try to practice for 10–15 minutes every day with Typing Master instead of typing for long hours once a week. Focus on accuracy first; once your fingers know the right keys, speed will naturally follow.
Make sure you’re sitting comfortably, keep your wrists slightly above the keyboard, and use all your fingers not just two or three. It might feel awkward in the beginning, but within a few days, your brain will start memorizing key positions automatically.

After each session, review your WPM and accuracy. You’ll notice gradual improvement with regular practice. Remember, typing faster is not about rushing, it’s about being confident and consistent.
